JENIA GREBENNIKOV
SPG Sports announced the signing of Jenia Grebennikov - a French professional volleyball athlete, regarded as one of the best male liberos in the world.
The 31-year-old Grebennikov made history over the last year as he became a 2020 Olympic Champion in Tokyo as a vital part of the French national team.
“We are excited to welcome Jenia to the SPG Sports family. Jenia is an exciting athlete to work with. He is one of the best libero players in the world and we are proud to sign such exceptional talent,” said Alexander Sapega, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at SPG Sports.
Grebennikov's numerous achievements include: two-time FIVB World League winner (2015 & 2017), 2015 CEV European Champion, 2019 CEV Cup Champion, 2021 French Cup winner, two-time German Cup winner (2014 & 2015), 2015 German Champion, 2017 Italian Cup winner as well as 2017 Italian Championship champion.
Grebennikov has received 12 "Best Libero" awards between 2011 - 2021. Most notably, he was named the best libero at the 2020 Olympic Games.
The signing of Grebennikov by SPG Sports confirms a strong commitment to continue on the path of spreading awareness of the sport of volleyball around the world. In joining SPG Sports, he becomes the first French volleyball athlete to be signed by the agency.
